Connecting Hudl Focus Camera
The Hudl Focus camera can be used to stream using Rapid Replay Stream in two different manners.
- The first is using OBS which is free software that needs to be downloaded on a computer that is on the same network as the Hudl Focus.
- The second method is to stream via YouTube through the Hudl Focus and we will pull the stream into Rapid Replay STREAM.

Initial Setup of the Hudl Focus Camera

1. Open the Hudl Focus app and tap the upcoming recording.
2. Tap the toggle on if you'd like to livestream this event on your YouTube account.
3. Tap Update.
4. Double check that this game will be on YouTube.
5. Done! Initial setup is complete.

Stream Event with OBS

1. Set up your OBS software. See the article Connecting OBS Feed (link).
2. Make sure you select the “OBS” option in the Filming Method/ Streaming Device. (link)
3. For more information on how to create an event in RR and where to find your RTMP and Stream Key, please visit “RTMP url” and “stream key”.

Open OBS

In bottom-right, select “Settings”.

In “Service”, select
“Custom...”.

In “Server”, input the RTMP url from Rapid Replay (e.g. rtmps://0aad987b2b95 .global-contribute.live-video.net:443/app/).

Stream Event with YouTube

1. When creating an event in Rapid Replay, select “Hudl Focus”, then “via YouTube Live.” You can leave the URL field blank for now.
2. Once the game is live on YouTube, click the “View/Edit Details” button on the live stream.
3. Paste the YouTube embed URL in the provided box and the game will stream live on your site. Done! 😃

Connecting VMIX

Step 1. Set up the software

Download the VMIX software
Add Source:
a
In bottom-left corner, in Sources panel, click the + icon.

Select Media Source

Enter name of your choosing (e.g. Hudl Focus Main Gym)

Uncheck Local File box

Check “Restart playback when source becomes active”.

In “Input”: type the exact RTMP url here (e.g. rtmp://192.1571.1.165 /live/Tactical)

In “Input Format”: type “RTMP”

Uncheck “Show nothing when playback ends”.

Uncheck “Close file when inactive”.

Click “OK” in bottom-right.

Right-click on the source you just added, click “Transform” -> click “Fit to screen”

Step 2. Set up Rapid Replay Event you want to stream

1. Create Event:

Open Rapid Replay’s mobile app or web app.

Go to the Streams -> Schedule.
- Using the Calendar, find the stream you want to start. Click on it and choose Edit Details in the Action Menu
- If the event isn’t in the app yet, click Create Livestream button to create a new event.
Use the Edit Details (link) to fill out the information for the event.

Make sure you select the “OBS” option in the Filming Method/ Streaming Device. (link)

- If this is a new event, click Create at the bottom of the page and you will see the “RTMP url” and “stream key”.
- If this is not a new event, scroll down and you will see the “RTMP url” and “stream key”. Keep “RTMP url” and “stream key” handy.
